What is a dual roller blind?

A dual roller blind is a double bracketed roller blind often containing a block out blind on one bracket (positioned closer to the window), and a sunscreen blind on the other bracket (closer to the room).  This style of blind is idea if you want the best of what these two blinds offer.  Block out blinds offer great privacy and protection from the heat coming off the glass, while Sunscreen blinds block 90% of the heat and glare from a window, whilst still allowing you to see through and enjoy the view during the day (this works in reverse at night).

What most people do if the window get’s full sun (say in the afternoon) is put the block out blind down.  During the day they just have the sunscreen blind down, but the block out blind up.   At night the block out blind is down for privacy.  On particular hot or cold days, have both blinds down.  Heat enters/leaves through the windows, so having a double cushioning effect on your windows slows this process down.   Most people choose two colours that complement each other and the room.  Dual Roller blinds can be motorised.
